First responders

Nov 1, 2024

Kenton on Sea … out of season … sleepy seaside village slumbering in the early summer sun. Residents strolling the beaches and streets, pooches in tow. Placid, peaceful.

Who on earth needs a medical first responders’ team?

We do.

Beneath the surface, behind the scenes are medical emergencies to which this team, mostly unsung and unnoticed, regularly respond. In the last month alone, they have been called out to an attempted suicide, an accidental overdose, an assault and battery, post-surgery complications, minor wounds and a rape.

And that’s out of season.

As season approaches, Coastal Kindness is grateful to this small, but growing, dedicated team for all they do to keep Kenton and its surroundings safe …
