Coastal Kindness
Bereavement Support Group
After the loss of a loved one, persistent negative emotions can disrupt your daily life. In our grief counselling support group, we aim to help you integrate the feelings of loss into your life, learn how to manage distress and support you as you adapt to life without your loved one.

Coastal Kindness
Professional Counsellors Group
A Community of Care for Those Who Care
The Coastal Kindness Professional Counsellors Group is a collaborative network of mental health professionals serving the Kenton-on-Sea, Cannon Rocks, and surrounding communities.
We meet regularly to support one another, strengthen ethical and reflective practice, and respond thoughtfully to the evolving needs of our local community.

Why We Meet
Working in a small or semi-rural setting can be deeply meaningful, and at times professionally isolating.
This group exists to:
- Reduce isolation among practitioners
- Provide peer support and reflective dialogue
- Strengthen referral pathways
- Identify emerging community mental health needs
- Encourage collaboration rather than siloed practice
We believe sustainable community care depends on sustainable caregivers.

What We Do
Peer Support & Reflective Practice
We gather in a confidential, collegial space to reflect on our work, share learning, and navigate professional challenges with integrity and care.
Community Awareness & Collaboration
Through collective insight, we identify patterns and needs within our region and explore ways to respond, whether through workshops, outreach, psychoeducation, or strengthened referral networks.
Professional Integrity
Our group represents diverse therapeutic approaches, united by shared values of confidentiality, ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, and compassionate care.
Supporting Local Mental Health
By working together, we enhance both practitioner wellbeing and access to safe, high-quality mental health support in our community.

Coastal Kindness
Dementia Support Group
Coastal Kindness runs a Dementia / Alzheimer Support Group on the third Thursday of each month from 14:00 to 15:30. Everyone is welcome to come along. You may have a loved one with Dementia or perhaps you are a carer working with a client who has dementia. Or maybe you have a mother or father, neighbour, or friend living with dementia, and you would like to find out how best you can help them.
The group is friendly place where we chat and support each other. We also invite speakers to come along and talk to us on a variety of aspects pertaining to Dementia and Alzheimers.
We work closely with the Association for Dementia and Alzheimer’s of South Africa (ADASA) and have many articles and publications to share with you.
If you’d like to join us, WhatsApp Mandy on 082 495 0182 or Jennie on 083 367 9720 or send an email to to find out the date of the next meeting and the venue. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
PS We have a Dementia Support WhatsApp Group for up-to-date information and resources. Please ask Mandy or Jennie to add you to the group.

Here, we honour every story and every heart - because compassionate support turns pain into connection and healing.
